Nuclear Medicine is a clinical, technological, multidisciplinary, and rapidly expanding specialty. The Nuclear Medicine Residency Program in Bologna is structured over four years of training, during which teaching, seminars, and professional activities are integrated within the framework of Metropolitan Nuclear Medicine (IRCCS, AOU, USL) and the regional training network (Reggio Emilia, Modena). The large volume of clinical activity ensure comprehensive education and offers opportunities in research. The work activity includes daily shifts from monday to friday (working days).
The Program trains medical specialists capable of integrating molecular imaging, clinical medicine, and the clinical applications of new radiopharmaceuticals in both diagnostic and therapeutic settings, including theranostics, as well as research.
The employment rate among newly qualified specialists is high, with career opportunities mainly in the public healthcare system, as well as in private healthcare and research centers.
